New X-Men was an American comic book series published by Marvel Comics
Synopsis
New X-Men was actually the title of the Grant Morrison-written take on the X-Men series.
In 2004, Marvel reused the title to chronicle the adventures of a young class of mutant students at the Xavier Institute of Higher Learning. The students gradually learn to master their powers, and also cope with the House of M aftermath, which decreased the population of mutants on Earth.
Headed by Cyclops and Emma Frost, the class was separated into two squads: The New Mutants (Cyclops's class) and The Hellions (Frost's class).
New X-Men was canceled in 2008 and replaced with Young X-Men later that year.
