New Super Mario Bros. is a side- scrolling platforming video game developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS hand-held game console.
Gameplay

Inspired by the Super Mario Bros. series of games, New Super Mario Bros. gameplay resembles the orginal Super Mario Bros. game for the Nintendo Entertainment System, but instead of two-dimensional sprites, this game uses 3D models scrolling along a 2D background, resulting in a very similar but updated look. Between levels, players navigate through maps similar to those found in Super Mario Bros. 3 for the NES.
Mario to the Rescue

Similar to many previous Mario games, the plot of New Super Mario Bros. concerns the kidnapping of Princess Peach by Bowser Jr. It is once again up to Mario and his brother Luigi to save the princess from the clutches of the evil turtle-king Bowser.
