Gameplay
Inspired by the Super Mario Bros. series of games, New Super Mario Bros. gameplay resembles the orginal Super Mario Bros. game for the Nintendo Entertainment System, but instead of two-dimensional sprites, this game uses 3D models scrolling along a 2D background, resulting in a very similar but updated look. Between levels, players navigate through maps similar to those found in Super Mario Bros. 3 for the NES. -
