20 years after its debut on the BBC, and almost 10 years after it went off the air, hit British science fiction comedy series Red Dwarf is back in the news after it was rumored that a new episode (or episodes) would be filmed and aired.
Talk of the new episode started when cast member Robert Llewellyn announced at a 20th anniversary celebration hosted by PBS that the BBC had commissioned a brand new one hour episode of the show.Llewtube: New Red Dwarf Episode Announced (August 24, 2008)
New reports now suggest that, instead of a one hour episode, the BBC has ordered four, 30-minute shows that will feature a mixture of old bits from the television show and original sketches.The Sun: Red Dwarf in TV Comeback (August 28, 2008) So far, there has been no official announcement as to when the episodes will be filmed or aired.
