New Orleans Snow

  • On December 11, 2008, The Associated Press reported that snow was falling in parts of southern Louisiana, including New Orleans. Although some areas of Louisiana were expected to receive up to four inches of snow, New Orleans was forecast to receive about one inch. Rare snow covers south Louisiana, Miss. (December 11, 2008)
  • Severe Weather

    The same weather system that brought the snow to New Orleans traveled through Texas the previous day and dumped about two inches of snow in the southeastern areas, resulting in power outages, road closures delays for travelers flying out of Houston.
