    Haggard left the church in 2006 after allegations that he had sex with a former prostitute, Mike Jones, and did drugs with him.     Former Pastor Ted Haggard left the church in 2006, after allegations that he had sex with a male prostitute, Mike Jones, and did drugs with him. In 2009, a former volunteer at the church, Grant Haas, came forward with allegations that Haggard sent him sexual text messages and masturbated in front of him in 2006. Haas said the church later gave him money for counseling and medical care in exchange for his silence on the matter.
