This is the travel page for New Jersey Outdoors. New Jersey is a state in the northeast and mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. The National Park Service manages ten areas in New Jersey, including the Ellis Island National Monument and the Edison National Historic Site. The NJDEP Division of Parks and Forestry operates numerous state parks, forests, marinas and recreational areas that are all open for public access. The lighthouse at Cape May Point State Park attract many tourist every year, while the Liberty State Park is considered to be the "Historic Gateway to America." The view there consists of the Manhattan skyline, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. During the winter months, New Jersey recreation includes skiing and snowboarding at one of their four ski resorts.
