In the general elections of November 2, 2010, Nevada voters elected the governor as well as one senator and three U.S. House of Representatives members. The race between Reid and Angle was considered a tight one, and Republicans and Tea Party members alike had joined together to support Angle and fund her campaign with millions of dollars. Barack Obama won Nevada's five electoral votes in the 2008 Presidential Election, defeating John McCain in the state by a 55% to 43% margin.CNN: Election Center: Nevada No Democratic candidate won the state since Bill Clinton did so in 1996.
