The Neuros OSD is an open source hardware video recorder that records video from sources such as DVD, VHS, Satellite, Cable, and TV.It then saves them on a Memory Card or USB drive in MPEG 4 format. The Neuros OSD is the successor to the Neuros MPEG 4 Recorder, so it can record video to be used on portable devices like an iPod or Sony PSP.
The platform of the Neuros OSD uses Texas Intruments' DM320 system which supports the DM320's High Performance operation mode. This makes the device capable of near DVD quality playback and high quality video encoding.
