Nepal Peace Process: Maoist rebels and the Nepalese government have been engaged in peace talks since May of 2006. Maoists have enjoyed representation in an interim government since April of 2007, but separated again in September of 2007. The Maoists have refused to rejoin the goverment until the constitutional monarchy is disbanded and replace by a republic.
