Founded in the 1990s by Philip "Cloudpiler" Landis, the Nemenhah Band is a religious group that bases their teachings and practices on those of the ancient Native Americans. In May 2009, a judge in Minnesota ruled that 13-year-old Nemenhah Band teen Daniel Hauser must receive chemotherapy to treat Hodgkin's Disease.
