Former New Jersey Deputy Assembly Speaker Neil Cohen has been charged by a state grand jury for possession of child pornography. Cohen resigned in July 2008 after the investigation was made public. His accusers were long-time colleagues, New Jersey Senator Raymond Lesniak and New Jersey State Assemblyman Joseph Cryan. In addition to charges relating to reproducing, possessing and distributing illegal images, Cohen is charged with official misconduct related to viewing the material on a computer at his office.
