Former CEO of Apple Corps, Neil Aspinall, died of cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City on March 24, 2008. He was 66 years old. Aspinall had gone to school with Sir Paul McCartney and George Harrison, and had been the Beatles first road manager. in 1968, he took on the job of CEO of Apple Corps, a position he said that he'd fill "only until they found someone else". He retired in 2007, after 39 years.
