  • Neapolitan Mastiff Health Problems

The Neapolitan mastiff is a giant dog breed, and has some health issues unique to larger dogs, such as cardio myopathy. These dogs also have a shorter life span than many breeds, usually only 7 to 9 years. They suffer from an eye gland problem called cherry eye, which affects Neapolitan mastiffs by age eight months; if it does not clear up by itself, the affected gland will need to be removed by a veterinarian.Everything Neo: Neapolitan Mastiff Health Issues
