Miss Independent is the second single off of hip-hop crooner Ne-Yo's third studio album, Year of the Gentleman. The video for the song made its premiere on August 21, 2008, and was directed by acclaimed music video director Chris Robinson. Along with Ne-Yo, the video features guest appearances by a number of famous females, including Gabrielle Union, Keri Hilson and Lauren London.

Summary
Ne-Yo arrives to work in the morning to an office filled with beautiful woman who all comment on how good he's looking. The video then follows him throughout the day as he interacts with a number of different strong, assertive females, one of whom is apparently his boss. Shots at the office are cut with choreographed sequences of Ne-Yo and a group of smartly dressed dancers. The video ends with his boss apologizing to him for cutting him off in a meeting. She then asks if there is anything she can do to make it up to him...Chorus
