NCIS Season 6 Episode 6 Recap
- YouTube Video: NCIS Episode 6, Part 1 (Time: 10:00)
- This episode is called "Murder 2.0"
- A young woman returns home to find her husband there, trying to surprise her because it's their one month anniversary. She heads to the shower to prepare for their time together. When she turns on the shower faucets what appears to be human blood sprays out. It is confirmed once the NCIS team arrives, that the blood is human, although it is very diluted. McGee searches out the source of the water, a man-made aquifer. A body of a man is found inside once the lid is removed. Inside the victim's mouth is a metal canister. Within is a slip of paper with a website address written on it. It leads Abby to a site that redirects to another website that allows users to upload videos. The video uploaded to the address on the paper shows the murder of the victim. Interspersed with the murder is images of other places. What that means, the team doesn't know, but Abby aims to find out. During the autopsy, Ducky discovers that the brain of the victim was removed through the nasal passages in a way that is similar to Ancient Egyptian rituals. He also discovers that the cerebrum was removed while the man was still alive. Afterwards, he was frozen, which made it impossible to give a definite time of death. Shortly after, the team discovers the name of the victim. It's Billy Cole. Gibbs and DiNozzo visit the home where Cole lived before his death. Inside the area that use to be the victim's room, Gibbs and DiNozzo found a young man and woman. The man is Tommy Doyle and the woman, Rose Woodhouse. Woodhouse was the last one to see Cole alive. While looking around Cole's living space, DiNozzo finds a picture that matches one of the images in the murder video. Gibbs and DiNozzo travel to the site, where the video was taken, to find the murder weapon, the time of death on a piece of paper and the body of another victim, Bob Sims. Inside his mouth is another canister with another website address. The video this time shows the victim begging for his life and then being beat with a baseball bat. Ducky finds the brain was removed from the second victim as well. While McGee, David and DiNozzo try and decipher the message behind the second video, Rose Woodhouse pays a visit to NCIS. She tells Gibbs that she thinks she knows who made the videos, Sam Loomis of Loominosity Pictures. Tony and Ziva then question Loomis about the videos and Loomis shows them a site where you can upload content that takes snippets of videos to create videos similar to the ones in question. While they watch over Loomis, Gibbs receives a call from the killer. He taunts Gibbs. McGee tries to trace the call, but is unable to. Just then, Abby receives a link for another video. The video is a live-streaming video from outside her lab. McGee and Gibbs head to the lab to help Abby, only to find the camera used to video tape was secretly hidden in the lunch box of the janitor. Gibbs knows the call couldn't have come from Loomis because he was with Tony and Ziva. However, McGee discovers that the caller actually recorded the voice ahead of time, therefore it could have been Loomis. Also, Abby found prints on the camera that belonged to Loomis. Gibbs asks Ducky his impressions of the killer. Ducky figures out that the clock the team keeps seeing in the videos is the doomsday clock. According to one of the images in the videos, the next victim will be killed at 11:55. Gibbs then brings in Loomis for questioning. Loomis swears he did not kill anyone. He then drops dead. He was poisoned via his blood pressure patch. Abby then runs a trace on the camera feed and video feed at the same time. It points to Rose Woodhouse. Gibbs and team return to the home of the first victim. There they find Rose, holding a gun, pointed at Tommy Doyle. He tells Gibbs to shoot Rose. Rose tells him Doyle's making her point the gun at him. Gibbs realizes she's telling the truth because the camera in the room is pointed at Rose, the real intended victim. Doyle planned on Gibbs shooting Rose. Doyle tells Gibbs if he shoots him, Doyle will blow everyone up because he has a dead man's switch that is linked to C4 attached to Rose. Gibbs asks him why he did it and Doyle tells him to become famous, which is why Gibbs figures out Doyle doesn't want to die. Once Gibbs apprehends him, the authorities make sure to keep Doyle's identity secret, that way he isn't made famous for his murders.

- The tortured body of Lance Corporal Rob Brewer is found in his garage, by a neighbor, when she stops by to borrow some tools to fix her flat tire on her car. The tools used to torture Brewer lead Gibbs and his team to a sergeant in the Marines named Jack Kale. Kale's fingerprints were found on the toolbox. When Kale's location is discovered, Gibbs and DiNozzo drop by only to be surprised by Agent Fornell from the FBI. Turns out, Kale is a key witness in a murder investigation involving Rick Azari, a man who killed a man named Randall Carlson. Gibbs and DiNozzo are convinced that Fornell and Kale are hiding something, but they don't know what. Further investigation reveals that Kale was seen arguing with Brewer. While team Gibbs further investigates the murder of Brewer, Kale escapes from the safehouse where he was being stashed. He turns up at the apartment of Michael Strauss. Gibbs and Fornell chase after Kale. After Gibbs blocks his way,Kale proclaims he didn't do it. When Gibbs inquires about what Kale didn't do, the show cuts to the inside of Strauss' apartment, where they find Strauss dead and obviously tortured. Once Ducky arrives, he's able to ascertain that Kale could not have murdered Strauss because the murder occurred before Kale could have committed it. Gibbs interrogates Kale to find out what he actually saw the night Rick Azari killed Randall Carlson. As Kale recounts the events, DiNozzo, McGee and David re-enact the murder. Abby shows up to tell them it would have been impossible for Kale to have seen Azari shoot Carlson. At the same time, Kale reveals that Brewer and Strauss were the ones that saw Azari kill Carlson, but because he was their Marine sergeant, he felt the need to protect them. Fornell's upset about the turn of events. He has Kale sent back to safehouse, but Kale quickly escapes. Gibbs and Fornell know he's headed to the courthouse to confront Azari. As they chase after him, Abby finds out that the mold found on the ropes used to subdue Brewer and Strauss matches the mold located in the basement of a home of Azari's. Gibbs tries to tell Kale that they have evidence linking Azari to the murders of the two marines, but Kale doesn't listen, and shoots Azari twice in the chest, killing him.
