NCIS, or Navy NCIS as it was known during its first season, is a television drama based on the inner workings of the government agency, Naval Criminal Investigative Service Major Case Response Team (MCRT), that investigates crimes involving the Navy and Marine Corps.
In the fall of 2009, a spin-off, NCIS: Los Angeles will premiere, starring LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell.
