The NCAA Championship Game will be played on April 5th, at 9:21 EST from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The Duke Blue Devils from the South regional bracket will compete against the Butler BullDogs from the West region.
The 2010 Men’s NCAA Tournament started on March 16th, 2010 with a play in game into the Tournament. Each team will now compete in a single elimination game until two games are left. Those teams play in the NCAA Championship game that will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana. The site of the event will be in the Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts. A total of 65 teams are selected to the tournament. Thirty teams earn automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament by winning their conference tournaments. Since the Ivy League doesn’t hold a conference tournament, the automatic bid goes to the NCAA Tournament. This year, the Cornell Big Red are the Ivy League regular season champions. The Kansas Jayhawks were given the overall number one seed by the selection committee due to their season record of 32-2 and key wins they had throughout the season. 2010 Championship Game
The 2010 NCAA Championship game will feature the number 5 seed Butler Bulldogs against the number one seed Duke Blue Devils. This will be a battle of David v. Goliath. Duke was one of the top teams that had a chance to make a run at the championship while Butler is a cinderella team that has made an inprobable run in the NCAA Tournament.
