NFL Returns to NBC
After several decades broadcasting the NFL, the network lost the rights to air games in 1997. Then in 2006, the company signed a six-year deal to air Sunday night football games. The coverage of the 2008 Olympics will be the most comprehensive ever. Besides the live coverage of major events on the network, 2,200 hours will be available online for viewing.According to an article in USA Today:
NBC's Beijing TV schedule includes 2,900 hours of live TV coverage, including all 32 swimming finals and the team and individual finals in men's and women's gymnastics.
