NBA All Star H.O.R.S.E

The H.O.R.S.E event is an annual event hosted during the NBA All Star Weekend. In 2010, the contest featured the defending H.O.R.S.E champion, Kevin Durant, as well as Omri Casspi and Rajon Rondo. Durant was the eventual winner.

In the interest of saving time, the game was resolved by a shootout with remaining players Durant and Rondo, during which the TNT hosts (including Charles Barkley) made jokes about how the players made every shot.

The event took place on February 13, 2010 at 7 p.m ET. Unlike its first year of existence, the 2010 H.O.R.S.E competition took place in front of a packed house in Dallas, Texas.

The event made its first appearance during the 2009 NBA All Star Weekend. In the first ever H.O.R.S.E contest, the three participants were Kevin Durant, O.J. Mayo, and Joe Johnson. Kevin Durant won the first ever H.O.R.S.E contest.

Once the playing order is estabilished, the three contestants will take turns shooting. Whoever makes the first shot, the person behind them will need to make the same exact shot, and if that person misses, he will receive a letter. The contestants continue to play until a person fails to make five shots and spell out H.O.R.S.E.

The game tends to begin slow, but once the contestants get comfortable, they will begin to take more crazy and absurd shots to try and knock out the players behind them.

The first ever event was held in 2009 when Kevin Durant defeated Joe Johnson and O.J. Mayo in the contest. The event was designed to show off the skills of NBA players in a fan friendly contest that is popular among many people in the world.
