Selection Process
The five starting players on each conference's team are selected by the fans. In the weeks leading up to the game fans can vote online, via the official NBA website for their favorite players. After the starters are announced, the coaches vote for the reserve players. Coaches may only vote for players in their conference, and may not vote for any on their own team.http://www.nba.com/2009/allstar2009/01/22/allstar_final.allstar09.20090122/index.html
