Player Selection Process
Players selected to appear in the NBA All-Star Game are selected both by the fans and by NBA coaches. Fans vote for the starters of the game until January 17, 2011, with the winners announced on January 27, 2011, during a special on TNT hosted by Charles Barkley, Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith. In addition to the five starters, another eight reserve players on each team are selected by NBA coaches across the league.
