The NBA All-Star Game is an annual exhibition matchup between the best players from the National Basketball Association's Eastern and Western conferences.

On February 3, 2009, the league announced the addition of a game of H-O-R-S-E to the annual weekend competitions. Joe Johnson, Kevin Durant and O.J. The five starting players on each conference's team are selected by the fans. In the weeks leading up to the game fans can vote online, via the official NBA website for their favorite players. After the starters are announced, the coaches vote for the reserve players. Coaches may only vote for players in their conference, and may not vote for any on their own team.All-Star Weekend

The 2009 game was held on February 15 at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona, and broadcast live on TNT at 8 p.m. EST. The Western Conference won the game 146 to 119. Co-MVP's were former Lakers teammates Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal, who each earned his third All-Star MVP award.-
