Nathaniel Brown was a 51 year old custodial worker at Ohio State University. At 3:30 ET on March 9, 2010, Brown entered an Ohio State University maintenance building and began to open fire with two pistols. Reports indicate that one person, a Larry Wallington, died in the incident. Wallington was a 48 year old building services manager at the Ohio State University maintenance building where the shooting took place. Brown also shot and wounded Henry Butler, 60, an operations shift leader for the campus maintenance department. Brown, after killing one and wounding two others turned the gun on himself and was pronounced dead at the scene. While Ohio State University students were made aware of the attack, classes resumed as normal.
