NHL Career
Horton was drafted third overall in the 2003 NHL Draft by the Florida Panthers. He joined the team for 55 games during the 2003-04 regular season, then played for the San Antonio Rampage in the American Hockey League during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout. Horton returned to the Panthers after the lockout and re-signed with the team on June 21, 2007, to a reported six-year $24 million contract.
