Professional football long snapper Nathan Hodel plays for the New England Patriots of the National Football League.

Hodel attended University of Illinois where he handled long-snapping duties all four seasons. He lettered in football and baseball at Belleville (IL) East High School. He attended the training camp with the Carolina Panthers in 2001 and played in six games before being released on October 24, 2001. He signed with the Cardinals on October 26, 2001, but did not reach the field in his rookie campaign.
