  • NBA player and New York Knicks point guard Nate Robinson is the 2006 and 2009 NBA Slam Dunk champion. In 2009, he beat Dwight Howard, Rudy Fernandez and J.R. Smith to win the Sprite Slam dunk contest during NBA All-Star weekend.

    Robinson, calling himself "Krypto-Nate" in reference to Dwight Howard's Superman Dunk from 2008, at one point bounced off of Wilson Chandler's back to make a dunk. He also leaped over Howard, who was wearing the Superman cape at the time.YouTube Video: NBA Slam Dunk Contest 2009

    In 2006, Robinson won the Sprite Rising Stars Slam Dunk Championship. Robinson outlasted Andre Iguodala of the Philadelphia 76ers, Hakim Warrick of the Memphis Grizzlies and Josh Smith of the Atlanta Hawks.
