Natasha Collins

Actress and model Natasha Collins played the character See on the first season of the BBC children's program, See It Saw It. She was replaced on the show in 2000 while in a coma following a car accident.

A sudden death

On January 3, 2008, Collins was found dead in the Northwest London home she shared with boyfriend Mark Speight. She was 31.

Unusual circumstances

An initial autopsy proved inconclusive and toxicology tests were ordered. It was announced on April 2, 2008 that the cause of death was "misadventure" from a combination of hot water burns on 60% of her body and a large amount of cocaine in her system. Toxicology tests showed more than five times the lethal amount of cocaine in her system and other signs of regular cocaine use.

Boyfriend arrested, released

Speight, a prolific actor and TV host who played the character, The King, on See It Saw It, was arrested in connection with Collins' death, and for drug possession. He was subsequently released, and according to police, will not be charged for Collins's death.

Speight dies

Speight went missing on Monday, April 7, 2008. Family and friends expressed concern that he was suicidal over Collins' death. He was found dead at Paddington Station in London on April 13, 2008.
