Natalie Gulbis

Natalie Gulbis is a professional golfer on the LPGA Tour. She started playing golf at age four and won her first tournament by the time she was 7 years old. Gulbis turned professional at the age of 18 after a year on University of Arizona women's golf team. She played on the Futures Tour in 2001 and joined the LPGA Tour in 2002. Gulbis earned her first LPGA victory win in 2007 at the Evian Masters. She has two other unofficial victories in team events at the Wendy's 3 Tour Challenge in 2007 and 2009.

LPGA Career Highlights

In 2001, Natalie Gulbis won LPGA Sectional Qualifying School and then finished third LPGA Qualifying School Finals, earning her LPGA Tour card for 2002. In her rookie season on the LPGA Tour, Gulbis finished 39th on the money list with $257,310 in earnings, had four top ten finishes and was second in the LPGA Rookie of the Year points race.

In 2003, she tied for 12th at the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship and finished tied for 13th at the U.S. Open and the Kellogg-Keebler Classic. For the season she made 22 cuts in 27 events and had a low round of 63 at the Welch's/Fry's Championship.

In 2004, she got her first LPGA career hole in one at the final round of the Safeway Classic. Gulbis had her career best finish at the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship, where she tied for 7th.

Natalie Gulbis made the Solheim Cup team in 2005 and finished with over $1 million in earnings for the season for the first time in her career.

Gulbis passed $2 million in career earnings during the 2006 season, despite having not won a tournament. She finished in the top 20 in all the major championships and finished second at the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic.

She won her first official LPGA Tour event in 2007. The victory came in a sudden death playoff over Jeong Jang at the Evian Masters. Gulbis made her second consecutive Solheim Cup team in 2007.

Solheim Cup

The 2009 Solheim Cup took place at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Illinois. The United States defeated Europe 16 to 12. Natalie Gublis complied a record of 1 win, 1 loss and 1 tie. Christina Kim and Natalie Gulbis defeated Suzann Pettersen and Sophie Gustafson in day one foursomes. Gulbis and Kim were defeated by Becky Brewerton and Gwladys Nocera in day two foursomes. At the 2007 Solheim Cup at the Halmstad Golf Club in Halmstad, Sweden, the United States defeated Europe 16 to 12. Gublis and Morgan Pressel lost to Gwladys Nocera and Maria Hjorth in the first day foursome matches by a 3 and 2 score. During the day two four ball matches, Natalie Gulbis and Nicole Castrale lost to Becky Brewerton and Laura Davis. In the third day's singles matches, Gulbis defeated Nocera by a 4 and 3 score to earn her only point of the Solheim Cup.

The United States won the 2005 Solheim Cup at the Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana by the score of 15 1/2 to 12 1/2. Gulbis complied a record of 3 wins and 1 loss. Teamed with Cristie Kerr, she lost to Laura Davies and Maria Hjorth. Kerr and Gulbis defeated Sofie Gustafson and Karen Stupples in the four ball matches during the afternoon of day one. On the second day, Christina Kim and Natalie Gulbis defeated Gwladys Nocera and Ludivine Kreutz 4 and 2 in the foursome matches. Amateur Career Highlights

In 1997, Natalie Gublis won the California State Amateur championship and qualified for the Longs Drug Challenge on the LPGA Tour. At age 14, she was the youngest to accomplish those feats.

She earned four letters on the boys golf team in high school and was an All-American in 1998 and 1999. Gulbis dominated the field at the 1999 National High School Golf Championship and won the event by 21 shots.

In 2000, she won the California Women's Championship and International Match Play Championships. Natalie Gulbis played golf for one year at the University of Arizona where she was named to the All-Pac 10 First Team and First Team All-American by the National Golf Coaches Association. Calendar Release

Gulbis first published a calendar in 2005 that featured her in several different golfing and bikini poses. It was barred from selling at any USGA sponsored event due to the "inappropriate poses". Television And Media

The Natalie Gulbis Show premiered on The Golf Channel in November 2005. The show follows Gulbis through tournaments, photo shoots, various appearances and activities. Regularly appearing on the show are business associates, her father and friends. She was also a contestant on the Celebrity Apprentice in 2009, where she competed to raise money for the Boys And Girls Club. Gulbis was fired from by Donald Trump on the show that aired on April 19, 2009. Natalie Gulbis will played herself on an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation which aired on January 21, 2010.
