Disappearance
The night before her return flight to the United States, Holloway was seen leaving the popular chain restaurant Carlos n' Charlies in Oranjestad in the company of Joran van der Sloot, Deepak Kalpoe, and Satish Kalpoe. When Holloway failed to appear for her flight the next day, the Aruban authorities were notified. Under questioning, the three men claimed they took Holloway to Arashi beach to see sharks, and that afterward they dropped her off at her hotel. The Kalpoes and van der Sloot have each been arrested on multiple occasions, but have never been charged with any crime. Despite extensive searches and intense media coverage, Holloway has never been found.CourtTV.com: Missing in Aruba: The Natalee Holloway Case
