Nanostray 2

Nanostray 2 is a sci-fi shooter for the DS and is the sequel to Nanostray. It was released in March 2008, about three years after the first game in the series was released. The game is known for its flashy graphics and easy-to-use control schemes. However, the game was hampered by the need to touch the screen in-game, while shooting enemies and controlling the ship. The game features several changes to the previous version, most notably the control schemes. There are now several ways to play the game. Also like its previous version, there's a storyline mode and a challenge mode, where players try to complete a task provided by the game itself. Video game critics have been mixed in reception for the game, with some loving the graphics and gameplays, while others have criticized the lack of depth in a storyline.

There are three control schemes in the game: Classic, Left-handed Touch and Right-handed Touch. Before the start of a level, players can choose what kind of weapon they will take into battle, and alter the position of the cannons. Players are stuck with a primary weapon, but they can choose between one of six subweapons, ranging from delayed bombs, to lasers. When a special weapon is used, the special bar is drained. It can be refilled by obtaining blue coins throughout the level; the coins are visible when certain enemies are destroyed.
