Nanosolar is a private company that produces solar panels. The company pioneered a method to produce the panels at a much lower cost than conventional methods. Nanosolar's panels are not panels at all, but ultra-thin sheets, as thin as a layer of paint, that can be overlaid on any surface where the sun shines.
