  • Millionaire Murder

Packard McNeal reportedly met businessman William Francis McLaughlin after he responded to her personal ad, which read "I know how to take care of my man if he knows how to take care of me." The couple began a romantic relationship, with McLaughlin supporting her financially, including purchasing a beach house for her. Police believe that Packard McNeal convinced Naposki to murder McLaughlin in order to receive the life insurance payout, the inheritance and the beach house. Packard McNeal allegedly gave Naposki a key to McLaughlin's house. Naposki is believed to have entered McLaughlin's home on December 15, 1994, shooting him six times with a 9mm pistol in his kitchen. Packard McNeal was charged with stealing nearly $500,000 from McLaughlin before and after his murder and served one year in prison. Neither Packard McNeal or Naposki were charged immediately following the murder as investigators were unable to find the murder weapon or substantial evidence to gain a conviction.CNN: Former NFL Player, Ex-girlfriend Charged in 1994 Killing
