Nancy Reagan is the widow of President Ronald Reagan. She was also a film and television actress. As first lady she shared her lifelong love of the arts with the nation by showcasing talented young performers at the Executive Mansion in the PBS television series In Performance at The White House.
Acting Career
In 1949, Davis was signed to a contract with MGM where she appeared in 11 films. Davis met her future husband Ronald Reagan, then president of the Screen Actors Guild, in 1949. Nancy Davis and Ronald Reagan married on March 4, 1952 at the Little Brown Church in Los Angeles.
California
During the time she was First Lady of California she was appointed to the California Arts Commission and worked with the Foster Grandparent Program, among other charities. In 1967 she was named Los Angeles Times Woman of the Year.
Life After the White House
The Reagans retired to their home in Bel Air, California after his term as President was over. President Reagan was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 1994. She devoted herself to caring for him until his death in 2004.

Hospitalizations
Nancy Reagan was hospitalized twice in 2008 after falling in her home. In February 2008 she was in St John's Health Center for two days.
