Nancy O'Dell is an American talk show host and television personality. The co-anchor of Access Hollywood has covered the Academy Awards, the Emmy Awards, the Grammy Awards and the Golden Globe Awards. O'Dell also hosted the first two seasons of Nashville Star for USA Network and has reported for NBC's Today and Dateline. Nancy O'Dell On the 2008 MDA Telethon
Nancy O'Dell sits down with Jerry Lewis at the 2008 MDA Telethon. Nancy tells the story of her mother who has just recently passed away. She thanks the organization for helping her through her difficult time. Jerry points outs that not everyone they help is in the limelight and that Nancy's story is important and helpful for other people. The illness of Nancy's mother began in 2006 with the loss of her voice. She was diagnosed with different diseases until she was diagnosed with ALS, Lou Gerrings Disease. The MDA jumped in immediately and helped by providing a breathing machine and then a typing machine. MDA also provided emotional support.
