  • Gloria Allred Petitions Court

    People Magazine reported on May 4, 2009, that attorney Gloria Allred has filed a petition with the court requesting that a guardian be appointed to ensure the rights of Suleman's infant octuplets since she plans to feature them and her other children in a reality show.     On April 29, 2009, Suleman was paid a surprise visit by a representative from local child protective services, flanked by two detectives.     • On March 23, 2009, Radaronline reported Suleman has decided to discontinue the services of Angels In Waiting, the non-profit charity organization that had offered, for a fee, to provide continuous care for the octuplets as well as for the six other children. Angels in Waiting had been caring for the children since March 17, 2009, as the first of the octuplets were released from the hospital. Suleman has said she will hire her own nannies instead. Members of Angels in Waiting will be taping an episode of Dr. Phil on March 24, 2009.     On March 24, 2009, Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Center spokesperson Jim Anderson confirmed the hospital will stay on track to release her remaining four newborn babies despite Suleman's public falling out with the Angels in Waiting nurses.
