Myron Rolle

    On January 13, 2009, Myron Rolle announced via text message to the New York Times that he has decided to attend the University of Oxford instead of entering the 2009 NFL draft. He decided he will attend Oxford for one year to pursue a master's degree in medical anthropology, then declare himself eligible for the 2010 NFL draft.     In high school, Rolle not only excelled in the classroom with 4.0 GPA, but also played in the school band and was a member of the school newspaper executive staff. Yet is was on the football field where Rolle shined most at The Hun School. In his senior season, after once threatening to quit football over a science lab conflict with part of the practice schedule, registered 112 tackles, including 14 for loss.     Rolle received a bachelor's degree in just 2 1/2 years at Florida State in 2008, majoring in Exercise Sciences and Pre-med. On November 22, he was rewarded for his academic success by being awarded a Rhodes Scholarship.
