  • Despite a crackdown by the ruling military regime on conventional media, activists and witnesses were still getting footage of the Myanmar Protests to the outside world. On September 28, 2007, the junta cut the internet in an attempt to stem the flow of information - and fear that the violence in Myanmar would increase.
