Jodi Picoult's My Sister's Keeper is a young adult/adult novel about a teenager who was genetically designed to serve as a perfect donor match for her older sister with leukemia.
An adaptation of the novel has been made into a film by the same name starring Cameron Diaz.
In the film, Diaz plays the part of Kate Fitzgerald's mother who shaves her head in support of her ailing daughter.
Sofia Vassilieva plays the part of the young girl who is stricken with Leukemia.
