My Grammy Moment was an online talent competition that searched for unsigned instrumental and vocal artists to perform at the Grammy Awards with famous musicians and singers. The contest was started in 2007 by CBS, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and Yahoo! Music. A pool of 45 quarter finalists were determent by a Grammy Blue Ribbon Panel. The public then narrowed those semi-finalists. YouTube users could log onto the official My Grammy Moment website to see video submissions and submit votes. In 2008, musicians could submit a 60-second video showing their performance and talent. In return, there were able to view a special message from the rock band Foo Fighters.
