My Fair Lady

The 1964 Academy Award-winning film My Fair Lady starring Rex Harrison and Audrey Hepburn is an adaptation of the 1956 hit Broadway production. Based on George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, it tells the story of an upper class phonetics professor and his lower class cockney protege.

Plot Synopsis

The movie revolves around the wager of a phonetics professor named Higgins (played by Rex Harrison)) that he can refine the speech of a Cockney girl named Eliza Doolittle (played by Audrey Hepburn). Through hard work on her part and Higgins' coaching the task is accomplished. However, when she leaves Higgins for a young aristocrat, he discovers there was more involved than just speech lessons.
