The mustang is a free-roaming untamed horse, descended from horses brought to North America by the Spanish.
Characteristics
The mustang has stronger legs and a higher bone density than domestic horses. It is medium to heavy-boned and has very hard hooves to withstand running on different natural surfaces. About half of the wild mustang population is reddish brown in color while the rest can be grey, black, white or palomino-colored.Eduscapes: [1]
