Technically music is a form of art whose standard is sound structured in time. Rock Music that got its start in the 1950’s is the type of music, which spanned a huge number of sub-genres. Soul, R&B, and Punk Rock, are just a few of the many sub-genres of this type. The one instrument that ties all the sub genres to the main genre of course is the electric guitar. Of course these genres also include various keyboards, the electric bass guitar and of course the drums. Rock music tends to be played loud.
