Munich is a 2005 film directed by Steven Spielburg. It was written by Tony Kushner and Eric Roth and stars Eric Bana, Daniel Craig, Geoffrey Rush and Mathieu Kassovitz. It was nominated for 5 Oscars. The film tells the story of a team of hitmen hired to kill those involved in the murders of Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympics.
Plot Synopsis
The film is set during the Olympic games of 1972 in Germany. A peaceful gathering of athletes competing gets a nasty turn as eleven Israeli athletes are kidnapped and killed by Palestinian terrorists. The Israeli government sends a small team of Mossad members an assignment of revenge: To track down and kill the terrorists.
