  • Career

Mungo Jerry was formed in 1970 and its first hit "In the Summertime" that very year. After "Summertime" Mungo Jerry released the songs "Baby Jump" and "Lady Rose" which were nearly as successful.

There was infighting amongst the group, and while the band kept releasing chart topping singles and albums many members left. Over the band's thirty plus years several musicians joined, left, and returned again. The only constant was leader Ray Dorset.

In 2007 the band released Naked - From the Heart featuring reunited former bandmates Dorset, Mike Cole and Bruce Band.
