Mulled Cider Recipe
Making mulled cider isn't difficult. The main ingredients for mulled cider include one cup of apple cider, two ounces of gold rum or apple brandy and one teaspoon of honey. Additional ingredients are cloves, a cinnamon stick, a small pinch of allspice and one lemon twist. To make the cider, combine all of the ingredients (except for the lemon twist) into a saucepan and heat slowly (over low heat). Once the mixture is thoroughly heated, strain into a mug. Garnish with the lemon twist and serve. Notice that the mulled cider can be made without alcohol, using apple brandy instead of rum. For additional flavor and a unique spin, try adding some vanilla extract to the mixture.
