  • Mudhoney is a Seattle rock band that formed in 1988. The band is comprised of Mark Arm on vocals and guitar, Steve Turner on lead guitar, Dan Peters on drums, and Guy Maddison on bass. Along with future members of Pearl Jam, Arm and Turner began their careers with the mid-'80s Seattle Green River. After that band spit up, the pair formed Mudhoney and released a self-titled debut LP in 1989. Mudhoney was one of the two bands later credited with helping to inspire Nirvana (the other being The Melvins), and their crude, garage rock-inspired sound held a major influence over the entire Seattle grunge scene of the early 1990s. The band is scheduled to release an eighth studio album, The Lucky Ones, in 2008.
