History
Firefox was first released by Dave Hyatt and Blake Ross in 2002. The browser began as an experimental project and was named Phoenix, but because of name disputes, it was later renamed Mozilla Firebird. With the name Firebird, they went under intense criticism from Firebird and eventually changed the name to Mozilla Firefox. -
