Mount Redoubt is a volcano located about 100 miles southwest of Anchorage, Alaska. The volcano was on high alert during parts of January, February and March of 2009.

2009 Eruption

The 2009 eruption has resulted in the cancellation of several flights. It can cause injuries to skin, eyes and the breathing system and can also cause damage mechanical structures and engines of planes, cars and other vehicles.
