The Motorola W395 was released to the public in 2007. With a clamshell styling, quad-band GSM connectivity and 65k color TFT display, this cell phone was designed as a lighter version of the earlier Motorola RAZR and KRZR models.
The Motorola W395, although classified as a budget phone, does contain features which allow for multimedia capability and internet-based interaction such as an MP3 player, SMS, MMS, IM and email messaging functionality, and a WAP 2.0 HTML-enabled web browser.

Camera and Music Player
The integrated 1.3 megapixel camera allows for still images to be a taken at a maximum image resolution of 1280 x 1024. The camera is equipped with an 8X digital zoom feature for close up shots. Video can also be recorded and sent via MMS to other users. The camera lens is located just above the frontal display of the phone, allowing for image capture even when the clamshell lid is closed.
The built in music player can playback audio files in either the MP3, AAC or AAC+ formats. The unit comes with 5MB of memory integrated for song and data storage, but can be augmented up to 2 GB with the use of an external microSD memory card.
Internet Accessibility
The Motorola W395 does not provide for Wi-Fi connectivity to the internet. Its internet connectivity comes from GPRS. The built-in web browser is WPA 2.0/HTML enabled, but its 128 x 160 pixel display does not provide for full web page viewing. The unit does come with Java MIDP 2.0 pre-installed to allow for the full functionality of Java based applications on it web browser.
Battery Duration
The Motorola W395 utilizes a lithium-Ion battery. On a fully charged battery the telephone can have up to 200 hours of standby time and 8.5 hours of continuous talk time.
