Motörhead is a band that combines
heavy metal and
thrash with the harsh lead vocals of the band's songwriter and only constant member Lemmy. The band began building a name for themselves among fans of heavy music in the late
'70s. They released one of their best known songs, "Ace of Spades," in
1980. Since then, Motörhead has built themselves a large cult following, including a fan club called the "Motörheadbangers" and a tribute band named "Motörheadache." Motörhead has performed with artists such as
Black Sabbath,
Blue Oyster Cult, and
The Ramones.
